would you like a lapdance with that critique?
So today I went to our book club meeting, to discuss "We were the Mulvaneys".
Instead of gathering in one of our homes, we met downtown in the ‘Yang, thinking that meeting at a coffee house might be cool.
So, we (inadvertently) held our book club meeting in a brothel.
(An easy mistake to make as a foreigner in a very foreign country?!)
Looked like a coffee house.
Smelt like a coffee house.
Tasted like… chicken coffee.
The "coffee girls" in the micro leather minis, and the "madam" barking orders while painting her face on, in the corner, kind of gave it away though.
And before you ask, the answer is "yes."
Multiple.
There were multiple anti-climaxes in the book.
I wonder where our next book club meeting will be?
I’ll bet there’s a seedy drug den or gambling pit somewhere around here mascarading as a tea house.
Reading books is such fun.
