hell-met

Baby girl got her helmet this week.  We went to the orthotic place on Tuesday and they fit it perfectly to her little mishapen head and sent us on our marry way.  The first week is supposed to be what they call weaning week.  The first day it’s one hour on, one off…the second two hours on, one off and so on.  By day 7 it’s supposed to be 23 hours of the day and that will continue for the next three-four months.

She fucking hates this helmet with the rage of 1,000 angry wasps.

I can get a good hour out of her and then it’s all up in the air.  If I sit and play with her for the next hour after that I can distract her enough to get a second hour.  So that brings us to today. Day three.  She is supposed to wear it three hours in a row and I just don’t see that happening.  When she gets screamy it makes my head want to explode.  On top of that I had some SL going in the background and the tv and the sensory overload….let’s just say it has not been a great morning.

She went down for a nap finally.  I say finally because the last two days her naps have lasted approximately 20 mins. I need at least an hour out of her if we’re going to make it for the rest of the day.  She has never been a great napper but I really thought we were making headway.

In other news: My rug came in, going to pick that up tonight and lay it down in the living room for a greater crawling surface.  My house is a DISASTER because I’m spending so much more time entertaining Molly.  I can’t seem to stop eating, don’t know what that is about but we tried a take out place in town we had not yet been to (Buffalo Joe’s) and it was so amazingly delicious.

Nothing even remotely interesting happening here. Move along.
