POEM (065) Extinguish the pheonix

Extinguish the pheonix

I’ve seen a look similar before,
hidden behind darkened glass,
shattering intent upon the floor,
cut ties from present to past.

I’ve seen a tear, cowering fear,
I’ve seen terror in a fire storm,
I’ve heard trembling lips in leer,
I’ve watched bones crumbling in harm.

The phoenix of fire dubbed crier,
beaten pulp, a devilish fire,
broken to droplets from a vile liar,
snapped from senseless coiled wire.

It hurts to sense your pain,
smoke extinguished from a flame,
buried wars set out the drain,
forming vicious feelings to remain.

Cut the feathers, drop the flight,
falling far, from out of sight,
drop of water, a plume of smoke,
extinguished phoenix to revoke.

Driven through the edge to the top,
committing sin from an uncertain drop,
spiralling down, a crashing sound,
his fist, his words, never to be allowed.
