POEM (059) Pathless
Pathless
I never wanted to be secure, tripped, written, in lure,
I never needed serenity, sunshine in the vicinity,
I never thought I’d be tied, taught upon and lied,
I never entrusted my life to be a voyage, in which I never tried.
I considered an act of change, forcing the middle range,
I considered the rainbow sky, to an unborn babies cry,
I considered the cliff, the depth and the rift,
I considered bursting sunshine, bells ringing as I climb.
I fought through the pain, the pounding, thumping vein,
I fought wrong from right, hidden from the eye’s sight,
I fought open armed, ruptured yet unharmed,
I fought through fear, and the cross road I had to veer.
I don’t claim to know it all, love, life, the birds and bees,
I don’t claim to be perfect, from my heart to my knees,
I don’t claim to be it all, just a picture on your wall,
I don’t claim to be your world, I just want to be it all.
I know I haven’t read all your poems…just don’t see how it will get better than this…. I’ll let you know if it does. When I get a chance Ill sit down and read more of your poems. To be honest, I never read other peoples poetry unless they catch my eye from the very first poem. I normally find myself reading my own and thinking of the memories! This poem makes me want to read more!
Warning Comment
Oh, and any poem with the word FEAR in it…entices me to want to keep reading…hence “need the fear” on my page 😉
