Step 1: light me on fire. Step 2: walk clean away.
[Listening To: Gregory and the Hawk]
the last few days have been.. eventful. To say the least.
Tuesday last week Mum kicked me out because we had an argument over me failing my English exam. Aced history, but she just ignored that bit. Friday Luke ditched all our weekend plans to go down to White Beach with Kurtes and Carl and no reception, and he didn’t come back until Monday. He spent the whole time drunk and stoned. Mum wanted me home Friday night. I was upset about Luke so she bought me ice-cream, a new, dual-sim slider phone off eBay, and said I could use her car on.. – Saturday I had to drive Alex to launceston for his final rugby match. It was really boring but I got lots of hours up, and driving Mum’s big shiny new expensive car was pretty cool.
By Sunday I got sick of not being able to sleep so I bought a bottle of Stones to help with that. ended up getting wasted and writing an essay on two novels I haven’t read for a subject I’m failing, so a really good use of time. Yesterday (Monday) after school (I finish at 12 on Mondays) Luke and I were going to meet up because we’d been out of contact for such a long time. Lysh (refer to post about birthday, only minus the bit about her being Kurtes’ woman because even though they’ve had romantic escapades they’re just friends who both live at the hostel) came with, so she could meet up with Kurtes (who, she so happily shared, needed to buy her a new dildo. I didn’t ask why.). The four of us, Luke, Kurtes, Lysh and Myself, along with Brady, then all went to the Waratah to play a game of pool while Brady took photos for his photography thing. he also bought a little bottle of whiskey and decided it would be a good idea to go get a cup and some coke from Hungry Jack’s. It wasn’t.
Luke still had a few beers in his bag from the weekend because he hadn’t been home, so he opened one. Kurtes and I had a few sips, too. then we threw it out because we really couldn’t be bothered. We walked back to EC so Brady could go to class. the security guard accosted us and took us to the police. Someone had called and said there were ‘youth’s drinking in Hungry Jack’s’ even though we’re all eighteen except for Lysh, but anyway. So he took us to the police office and they searched us. Luke had another four beers in his bag, left over, as I said, from White Beach. Brady had the whiskey still.
Kurtes had $300 worth of pot in his bag. That got confiscated along with the alcohol, and they had to call in more uniformed police officers to give Kurtes an ‘official warning for possession of cannabis’. the three boys got suspended. They called my dad and told him everything, as well as Lysh’s parents. Then they called Rosny. Lysh was supposed to be in class, I wasn’t, as previously stated. We asked what we were being done for, and they said "being under the influence on school property" when we weren;t drunk, had only a few sips, and those few sips weren’t on school property either. [when I got to school today no-one said anything to me about it, so I don’t think they’re going to suspend us or anything].
Dad didn’t make me tell my mum, either.
Today I got to school and went and saw Maggi, and arranged to have a talk with her at recess. That came along, and she basically just talked to me about how I’m so behind, and struggling heaps to catch up and stuff, and reasons why this is happening and stuff. So then she took me to student services and made appointments for me to go see some counsellor. I didn’t go.
Dad got out of hospital today. He went in to have an operation to remove skin cancer, and now he can’t drive for a few days. So when mum finished TAFE at 9 I had to drive in to pick her up. We were ten minutes late because Dad was in the toilet. She chucked a tantrum. walked to the bus mall to catch a bus (the next one to Risdon was at Ten – really smart.) So I was frantically driving all over town at Dad’s (often illegal) instructions. He was crying so much because mum kept calling and saying nasty things then hanging up. By the time she finally got in the car she kicked me out and wouldn;t let me drive so I lost it and told her to grow the fuck up and stop her stupid 5 year old tantrum stupid fucking cow, etc. And dad cried more sobbing ‘no, it;s my fault, stop yelling’ so I told hom to stop being so fucking pathetic and stand up for himself because she’s just a bitch, and she was yelling, and she’s all ‘pack your bags I don’t want you in my fucking house’. So now I’m at home, bags packed, waiting for morning to see if I still have a home.
goodnight.
we have a couch, if things ever get really nasty. or if you just want to come visit. it’s been far too long. xx
