Life at the Present
Its been a while.. I made a blog and posted stuff in there and I missed the people I read and so forth. I got a job too working as a Respiratory health coach for an insurance co. Its not hard, it pays great and so forth. I’m happy but at times miss being in the action of things that comes with being a respiratory therapist. You know….the adrenaline factor. Its the first job I’ve had that’s a TRUE office have my own cubical and desk job and I think to myself….wow I never would have ever thought I would have a desk job being a Resp. Therapist…That kind of work its the first thing to jump out at you. But its laid back and easy . They really have eased my way into it and everyone is so nice. Nothing is a pressing issue and so forth.
I applied for SSI for Dennis after his whole tirade thing back in Feb. and he was approved for it. I thought he would be but had doubts as its not much of a medical history on him with it. But he was really such pain in the as after it I figured he might. They have been setting up Andrew’s service coordinator for his services. Wow its weird. I got everybody there services. Dennis was too damn easy though.
The end of Sept I got my first paycheck and he got approved for SSI …….It was an amazing day to me. WOW The beginning of this year sucked so bad that I didn’t think there would be light at the end of the tunnel. Things went so bad for me for so long that I thought that something else would go wrong that this was not right. Those dark days at the end of Jan and beginning of Feb were I almost was forced to drop out of my Respiratory classes and ultimately would not finish to dealing with Dennis in the pysch ward again during a critical time in me returning to my classes and clinical. From that to getting my degree, passing the CRT (a feat that Mr Naughty said I wouldn’t be able to do) and finding a great full time job.
Speaking of Mr Naughty……..I went to visit a friend that had a baby and she told me about what he was up to…now head of the Respiratory program. I guess he decided to loss weight by limiting himself to 300 cal/day and became acidotic… Went into respiratory failure and ended up on the vent for a few days. So she said….it s almost unbelieveable. So I got curious the other day as I now work for an insurance company if said "moron" had us as his insurance carrier..BINGO. He did. Yep it was true he was that much of a moron. He’s lucky he lived and didn’t have any brain damage (not anymore than is already present) . Even better I could see for the last 5 yrs what he’s been to the Dr. for. I busted out laughing the first chance I got. Oh the power…. From the person that looked up Dennis’s past.
Today I fixed the blower in my car…myself. It hasn’t worked in at least 6 months…. I thought now is a good time as its getting cold out, in the mornings its a cold ride to work . So for $30 I got it done…..Of course I bought a $10 on top of it that didn’t help and a blower motor that really didn’t need to be replaced but it was looking worn anyway. So it was a bit more but then I can always use that tool for other stuff and the motor assures me that its not going to stop soon.
