A Little Better

We still aren’t sure what is wrong with Sandra. Her doctor thinks it could be lung cancer, but the pulmanologist thinks it might just be the pneumonia she had last time she was in the ER, and it didn’t clear up yet. She already has lung problems, emphazema, and COPD, so that could be why it’s taking so long for it to clear up. So they are treating her for the blood clot in her lung, and pneumonia. They are releasing Monday, I believe, and two weeks after she gets released, they are going to give her a pet scan, and a biopsy I think. They wanna keep treating her for pneumonia and see if anything changes on her chest films. I guess they both show up as dots on films, so it’s impoosible to tell which it is, without a biopsy. So lets just stay hopeful that it’s pneumonia, and if it’s not, that they caught it soon enough for it to be treatable. Her brain scan was clean, which is good.

Chris and I are livid with his sister however. The night we took her to the ER, she refused to go, so we called Pam for support and asked her to tell Sandra to go. Well she flatly said, if she doesn’t want to go, don’t make her. Yeah, you love your mom soo much huh? Well it’s gotten worse. While she’s been there, Pam has been calling Sandra trying to convince her to sell the house, and move to Florida. Pam lives in a crackhouse apartment complex, where the landlord’s daughter is a prostitute, and her boyfriend is a junkie. Not to mention they just got evicted. So she expects her mom to sell a house she owns pretty much free and clear, to move to Florida, to do what? Put down payments on another house, so that Pam and her daughter would have somewhere to live? Oh no, it gets better. She tells Chris’s brother Wes that she is going to try and get Sandra to sign over her power of attorney to her. Which means once she has that, and if Sandra sold the house she could take everything from her, and leave her penniless. She’s trying to rob her own mother. That’s sick. Luckily Sandra is in her right mind, and knows Pam is trying to screw her. She’s already factored Pam out of the will. Orginally Sandra was going to leave half the house to us, and half to Pam, but now she’s leaving half to us and half to Wes. Pam has been saying for 4 years how she’s moving here every month. Sandra always buys into it, and Pam never came. I’m so glad she sees now how shady Pam is.

I’m exhausted, and Im sure my spelling is horrible, so try and figure it out. Goodnight.

I hope it’s pneumonia and that they can easily treat it. Pam sounds like some piece of work. I think you have written about her and her daughter before. Thank goodness Sandra can see right through them.

Thank god Sandra is in her right mind and won’t act on Pam’s suggestions. Hopefully Sandra stays in that mindset. I hope she ends up being okay.

*RYN* I agree, they should have been more careful about the refund they issued, but I also agree with you that she should take it up with insurance, not the IRS. Why should the insurance fund that employees pay into go to cover someone’s elective surgery, ya know? Next thing you know people are going to want nose and boob jobs (cosmetic ones) covered!
