Grateful

Just a week ago around this time, I was peeing on a little stick, one that held so much of my future. I picked it up and almost threw it away, until I looked at it. Two lines. It’s changed so much in this one week that we’ve known. It’s early, but it’s an amazing feeling to be a carrying my child. I pray that every woman who wants it gets this experience. My boobs hurt, I’m tired, but it’s worth it. I feel so blessed. I can’t wait for our baby to grow, and come into this world.

My super lovey cat, is being super duper lovey and annoying. She won’t let me get a good night of sleep. I kicked her out of the bedroom last night just so I could sleep. I’m already having pregnancy dreams. One where I was already 7 months pregnant and we had nothing, we were panicked and totally unprepared. Which isn’t me, I love to plan in advance. Another one where no one cared I was pregnant. Silly dreams.

Chris’s friend Christine sent me a gift, it came in the mail yesterday. Two candy bars, and a Liz Lange maternity shirt. It’s long sleeved though, so it will probably have to wait until the weather cools, since by the time I can wear maternity it’ll be summer. Belly pictures in 2 days!

^ I have to agree with that. My cat LOVED my underware when I was pregnant. Would steal pairs when she could and would carry them around the house to roll in them.??

Any thoughts on homebirth vs hospital birth, cloth diapers vs dispoable, etc? I’m always interested to read people’s opinions on that stuff 🙂

When I was preg. my doctor recommended either taking an iron pill, or eating extra servings of iron (such a spinich) to help with the tiredness….these were my saviors during the first trimester. And also naps!!! You have such an amazing journey ahead of you; mommy:)
