Take Another Look

Last night Chris and I watched a documentary on A&E about meth users. They followed the lives of serveral tweekers. A family of a mom and her two kids that use crank together, An older couple maybe in the 30’s, A pregnant girl (who was NOT using), and her babydaddy.

It was so sad watching this, and I sat their with a twisted look on my face.

That was me. That could be me. It was horrifiying to see these people’s lives. I remember that, and I can’t imagine going back. I’m so lucky I escaped. So lucky. Nearly 10,000,000 (million) Americans have tried meth. And only 6% of users are able to get clean, and then stay sober. 6%.

It was sobering in itself to watch it, and it made me appreciate my life so much more than I already do. Just a reminder, to make me remember what I escaped, and how far I’ve come since then.

Not sure what we are doing tonight. We might go to Leigh’s. More than likely. I might try and convince Vince and Sheena to come, but I’m not sure if they’ll go. They are definately past the honeymoon stage. They are struggling right now. They’ll be okay.

This is the picture frame that Vince has hanging on his wall, I mentioned in the last entry.

Someone’s in a good mood. The cat hates the dogs most the time.

And just because she’s so cute when she tappdances…
