Independence

"We Belong Together"

People have been celebrating the independence of our country for centuries. Long ago a group of "rebels" left the Mother Country and suceeded on their own. Since then we have celebrated with fireworks, good food and cookouts, some beer and family. But Indepedence Day is so much more than the freedom of a country for me. Its for every person who was inslaved, and for their children and grandchildren who have the freedom of choice now. Its for every religion to practice what they believe without fear of pursecution. Its for every woman who now has the right to wear what we want, and do what we want without second thought. Independence to choose and act without deir consequences. We are damn lucky to live in America. Sure we have our problems, but it could be a lot worse. There still could be slaves, women could still be viewed as property, and people could still be hanged for their beliefs. Im glad I have a choice and the right to speak my mind.

Happy Independence Day

I worked a double yesterday and made 80 bucks which is great since it was as dead as a morgue. When I got home Chris has spent 20 bucks on some fireworks for us to blow up, but I gave him 100 to go buy some more. He went and bought 400 dollars worth of fireworks because he got there after ten so they were half price! Awesome! So I took pictures and a few videos of Chris blowing them up. I’ll post htem after I get off work today. No more doubles for me this week! Yay!
