I dont want to say needed because its not really needed but I would like some. I start work tommorrow. Just orientation, but I’m nervous about being a server. I’ve never done it before, and the plates are really hot. I have sensitisive skin to hot things. If that makes sense. So if anyone has any tips on serving or how to handle hot plates without hurting yourself (Lucinda please!), then leave as many tips as you can.
In other news it’s been one month today that Chris and I have been married. One month. We decided that we wanted to eat our top tier one month instead of one year, and no one say how its bad luck. I don’t wanna eat stale cake. I didn’t get strawberry goodness to eat it stale. Besides we are going for untraditional. So thats my night. Eating cake and drinking some blackberry wine. Really good.

Um, the only thing I can think of would be to use a ot holder or something to hold the plates if you can. At my first job I was around hot stuff all the time but after a while my poor fingers got used to it. Yeah I think I burned off a few nerves lol. Wooo hoo on 1 month!! YAY!!! 3 more to go for me!! And go ahead and eat your cake!! Heck I would too! I don’t think we’re going to wait a year

Mmm Cake. Travess and I did the same thing. I actually think its becoming more traditional then you think. 😀 And wow did that one month fly. Soon it’ll be 1 year, just like us!

MMMM…that sounds like a lovely one month. Ok when I was a waitress I always carried a cloth napkin in my back pocket and used that when I handled the plates. It was like carrying an oven mitt.
