“Love isn’t just rainbows and butterflies, it’s compromise that moves it along”

Heehee I LOVE that picture. The wedding was perfect like I said. Except one thing but I’ll write about that later on in here. I woke up at 8 am and immediately checked the weather reports. It was supposed to rain but according to the newest weather reports it wasn’t going to. This made me happy. I took a few IB profen to get rid of cramps, took a shower and waited for everyone else to shower. Cari started doing my hair at 9am. We were going for a half up hippie style with my hair that was down curled under with little ringlets here and there on top of it. Well the hippie style was the hardest part. My hair wouldn’t stay. So finally after trying it ten times I called Kristen in and her and Cari pulled it up into a ponytail and left some hanging in front. After each step they COATED my hair with hairspray. Then they pulled back the hair hanging down on each side to make it hippie-ish. After that they bobby pinned it in place, curled it and then curled the ringlets. Spraying it with hairspray each step. Cari then did my make up and used bronzer to make me look tan, and I was done. Cari did Kristen and Pams hair too. Chris and Jason got dressed and us girls waited til the last minute to change.

At 12:30 pm we put on our shoes and left for the courthouse. It was hot, the sun was shining and I was so happy and filled with love. We got dropped off at the front while everyone parked. While we were waiting for them to walk back a little girl and her mom passed us, and the little girl came up to me and asked me if I was a princess, and told me I had a princess dress on. So I told her I was, and that one day she would get to wear a princess dress too. The wedding was being held on the third floor so we headed up there and right as the elevator doors opened there was Monica the photographer snapping pictures. Scared the crap outta me lol. Then from 1pm to 1:55pm Chris and I took pictures with her. We did some non traditionals and some traditionals. We discussed before that she was the photographer and I was comfortable with her taking pictures anyway she wanted, so we let her do her thing. After seeing how the pictures from my camera showed up, I can’t wait to see her stuff. We went in to the private room and met with Brenda the commisioner. She looked great. No ugly or whorish make up. Everyone got seated and my dad walked me to Chris and gave me away. It was very God filled just like it would have been at a church, which I’m happy for because I believe marriage is about us and God. When she asked Chris and I if we were there against our wills I started laughing uncontrolabley. I was nervous and it was just too funny. I triedto hide it in my bouquet but I couldn’t. At least I didn’t pass out. Or cry. But mainly I didnt faint. I calmed down and we said our vows. After a few more words from Brenda, she pronouced us man and wife and we kissed. We went back outside and took more pictures, and then decided to head back to the house to get ready for the cake cutting and toast. Chris and I got the kids in the car and a school bus full of high schoolers drove by and they were all yelling congrats. While we were driving away Monica stopped traffic with her car, jumped out, and took pictures of us. Someone told us later.

When we got home Chris, Cari, Jason, Pam, Kristen, and I did a shot of tequila while his mom downed a white russian drink. Then everyone showed up and we cut the cake. Chris’s brother Wes did the toast with pink champayne. Chris and I walked around talking to everyone and opened gifts. After a while we asked everyone to leave so we could get changed and ready for the dinner. This is when my mother decided to be herself. I asked her if they were going back to the hotel to change. She said yes so I told that if she wanted to leave now and come back when they were ready now would be a good time. So they left and after 20 minutes I called her to see where they were. My mom said she wasn’t coming back because we told her to leave. WTF? So she said talk to your father and wouldn’t speak to me. My dad then proceeded to tell me that they felt that I only wanted them there when I wanted them to spend money on us. WTF? So I said forget you we won’t go to dinner then. They had offered to pay.  I gave the phone to Chris and started crying because I was emotional and tired, and pissed off. Chris told them he was sorry they felt that way and told them not to come back. He was so pissed. Everyone hugged me, told me to stop crying, said fuck them and we went anyway. It was great. I’m so sick of sucking uup to my mom just so she’ll be in my life. If she doesnt want to, then I don’t want her there anyway. She’s only upset beause she wasn’t the center of attention that day. The whole week we catered to them to try and make them feel welcome. Screw my dad for being a doormat and letting my mom control his every move. It didn’t ruin our day though. We suspected they would pull something like this, so I was expecting it.

At Olive Garden we ate and laughed and had a great time and a delicious dinner. The waiter was so sweet and had a crush on Cari. So he got her number and they went out later while we were on our wedding night honeymoon. It was so nice not having to suck up to my parents. Everyone relaxed.

Our honeymoon was at the Country Inn & Suites. My parents had already paid for  it so we werent worried about that. I won’t go into to detail about this but lets just say a hot tub, sexy lengerie my mother in law bought me, and hot massage oil.

oooh la la

sexay

Draw your own conclusions. heehee. But that was our day and it was perfect despite a few things. Nothing major. Nothing could have ruined this day for me. I’m married to the man I love, to my soul mate.
