Sister’s Anniversary Gift
So I havent written in a while. I’m leaving for Oregon on the 8th and coming back on the 14th. I doubt I will update while im there, but Ill come back with a ton of pictures. The funeral is on the 11th, but I wanted to spend a few days with family before and after seeings how I havent seen most of them in 3 years. Plus I feel in paying for a ticket for 444 bucks merits more than a three night stay.
My sisters first year anniversary it coming up on the 20th of this month. One year already. So the first year anniversary is one of the most specail anniversary’s you can have in a marriage, I wanted to get her something special again. You all remember the wine and glasses set I got them, with the hand painted wine bottle filled with wine? It said their names and the marriage date on it and each wine glass had one of their names on it. So anywhooses, I bought a picture frame, thats a goldish silver color. The only pictures they have were taking digitally and put on a wedding CD instead of taken with film so they could frame them. Well I sifted through the Cd and found this romantic pose of them touching forheads with closed eyes and smiles, decked out in wedding wear. Ill have to put the picture on here. So I printed that photo on photo paper. The frame is 8×10 but it has matting so that it holds a 5×7. The matting makes it look professional. Then I took the flowers I dried from my sister wedding bouquet(the one I caught). I took some daffodil petals and some baby’s breath and placed it in the bottom right hand corner on the frame on the glass. It took me about 3 hours to get them on there perfectly, without the baby’s breath falling apart. I finally sprayed them with hairsray to hold them together and placed the flowers and petals one by one on the glass with tweezers. I had to keep from touching the glass as not to leave smudges and start over. again.I then taped the photo to the back on the matting and placed it on top of the flowers, very carefully, and put the backing on and trapped the flowers inbetween the glass and the matting. So when you look at the picture you see them and then the flowers my sister had in her actual wedding, which I thought was sentimental. She better like it lol. So when she comes up to Oregon I’ll give it to her. Just a question, would you be happy with that for a gift? I would think she would want one framed photo of her wedding to show people.
That sounds so beautiful!!!! I’m sure she’ll love it!

That’s wonderful. Plus, if you’re SUPER traditional, the first anniversary is paper, which you’ve used so very nicely. What a thoughtful gift. I’d love it!
