A Blessed Christmas

We started Christmas Eve by me taking a small nap until 9pm until my wonderful fiancee’s parents got home. We sat around and passed out gifts. Then we opened them and exchanged ooooh’s and ahhhh’s and plenty of thank you’s. We sat with the lights off and the tree on. I got to open all of my presents plus the ones from my parents to me and Chris. Heehee, he knows I love ripping off the wrapping paper.

We gave the dogs their presents. Two matching balls that you can fill with treats and they dispense treats every once and a while. We forgot to buy treats so we used kibble. They also have a recording mechanisism and we had previously record the cat meowing just to drive them nuts. You turn it on and as they nudge it, it makes the noise recorded. Well that didnt go over to well, they freaked out. LOL! They were actually scared to go near them. So we turned them off and let them play with the kibble. Sadly we didnt have a chance to get the cat her catnip so I gave her hairball treats instead. She loves them.

The digital cam my mom bought is an Easyshare cam, 5.0 MP which is good. They even bought cleaning materials, a tripod, cam case, and a battery charger. My sister and her new husband got us a memory card and gave us the 15 dollar rebate as part of the gift. I already started taking pictures, and they came out so good. I also got a scarf and matching hats in grey and blue from Chris, two gamecube games and a cute mini RV racing car from his parents, and two sets of smelly stuff from Chris…yum. Chris got 5 DVD’s, and a CD from me, a 150 dollar leather jacket from his parents (heck mine spent over 300 on us and the cam was for me really), and a cute RV racing car. Chris’s mom, Sandra, got a popcorn popper from us, a vacumn cleaner from Jess, a matching scarf and hats set only in red and grey, but her present from her daughter wont be here til monday because of the roads being icey. Her daughter is, needless to say, p.o.ed. Jess, Chris’s dad, got a drill set from Sandra, and a DVD trilogy set of Star Wars from us, plus some other stuff. They also have there presents from Chris’s brother and sister in law who live in town.

I started crying when I thought about how great all the stuff was. Just the thought and time put into everything really made this day specail. And while im still worried about my job, Im letting that go for now. Its Christmas and Im going to enjoy it. So now for the pictures….yay! Best part…lol. They will be more tommorrow of Jess and Sandra and the snow and everything. LOL! Im gonna be picture crazy for a few…erm…weeks prolly. The cam holds 200 pictures.
