Friendly wager

This guy at work, JP, and I have had this friendly wager going on at work. He’s a huge Vikings fan and I a Bears fan. So the wager was this: in the first game with the Vikings against the Bears, we wagered that if whoever’s team one, the other would have to work the winner’s weekend.

We each work at least one weekend day a month. Anyway, the Bears won. JP apparently was trying to get out of it and say that "we never really made it official" except we had others to bear witness to the bet. I upped the ante. let’s make it double or nothing. So now this sunday, Jen and I are going to the Vikes and Bears game here in the Twin Cities. If the Vikes win, JP doesn’t have to work my weekend. If the Bears win, not only does he have to work my weekend, I still get the pay for it. So I have a good deal going on here.

Anyway, GB Packers play tonight. if they beat the NO Saints, then there is a threeway tie with them, the Vikes and Bears in the NFC North. But if they lose, the tie is twoway with the Vikes and Bears. Now the Vike are going down on Sunday! Why? Well, it’s because we’re talking about the Chicago Bears and I want them to be in first place in the NFC North. Secondly, I want to win this wager. The tertiary reason is because it will be Maddie’s first regular season football game, albeit en-utero.
