Incomplete thoughts

A few random thoughts today. Perhaps I will do complete entries on them at some point.

Yesterday, I got this forward in a text message I though was humorous. I’ll share it now:

"A thought regarding the mosque near ground zero. I say, let them build it, but across the street we build a topless bar called ‘You Mecca me hott’ next to that a gay bar called ‘The Turban Cowboy’ and next to that a pork rib restaurant called ‘Iraq o’ribs’ and a cashing center called ‘Iran out of money’. Lets see who’s really tolerant"

Ahhh, yea, still makes me grin. lol

My next random thought is on the protesters at the funerals of fallen soldiers. If God hates America and America is doomed, maybe instead of hanging out in this damned nation you should pack up and leave. Why subject yourself to this way of life if your God will ultimately condemn you for the sin of interacting with us fag-lovers?

And finally, we have a local news station here that allows you to call in and leave recorded messages about what ever the topic of the day is, to be played on the air at a later time. The other day a gentleman called in ranting and raving that these political ads should be BANNED from television, because he doesn’t care about politics, nor does he vote and he doesn’t want to be subjected to it.

Good for you.

And your welcome. Because those ads mean that someone out there DOES care. Does vote. And because of them you have the RIGHT to CHANGE THE CHANNEL. You have the right to call in and complain. You have the right to NOT VOTE. And thanks to them, you will hopefully continue to HAVE those rights.

However, you could possibly HELP secure those rights, by turning OFF your TV, getting off your ASS and going to VOTE. Maybe, you could even be a participant in society, and start a movement to censor or ban those ads, and the American people could VOTE on it.

Imagine that.

Democracy.

But since you don’t care enough to vote, I guess you really don’t have a say right now one way or the other.

Don’t worry though.

I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to death your right to say it.

I will be voting on election day so you continue to have the right to bitch about something you don’t care about. So you have 80 channels of brain numbing nonsense, and can surf through them til your hearts content.

Oh, I could go on and on, but I was going to keep this brief, so that is that for now. More later….
