I like Denny’s. This is known. I’m not a fan of the girl waitress we had last night, but the one we (That is, bill and I) got at like…1 in the morning 3 or 4 days ago was gold. See, bill and I have been going out to get a bit to eat and to discuss our movie. We’re almost done with the preliminary planning stages and now it’s just a matter of finding appropiate places to film, one of which is going to be his room and the other is going to be a slightly wooded area (which we already have, somewhat) and another being a field, preferably with flowers and that’s pretty looking. We’ve also talked about getting a shot of the cityline to give everything a feeling of vastness and importance. So what are we shooting? If everything goes as planned I’ll post it on here. As for right now I’m gonna not say anything. Take THAT.

Things are going interestingly enough now, though. We went out to blockbuster too to rent some movies and we got Pi and Good Night and Good Luck. Both gems, to be sure. I really liked Good Night….it was a pretty strong piece and it was obviously about Bush and the current state of affairs….it was pretty awesome. You should get out and watch it. ^__^ As for pi….well….you just have to watch that one to know. It’s so trippy. We haven’t actually watched it yet (though i already know stuffs) but we will be later on today. I’ll probably write a bit more about that once we watch it. It’s a pretty powerful movie. I’m considering looking up a bunch of the movies I remember being strong and watching them again. I remember schindler’s list the some something club. The latter being about asian women in america. Argh, I forget the name of it. I can find it though, I remember enough of it yet. I’m really interested in getting back into those sorts of movies. Not all film is worthless as far as putting across messages that are powerful and very real and important. I’m definately interested in looking into them again…maybe it’ll help me a bit with keeping myself in tune at the same time as broadening understanding of people and mindsets. See, it bothers me that, by far, most mainstream movies aren’t realistic at all, especially not the people. It’s just like ‘adult’ cartoons; all flash and show driven by a mildly relateable or understandable force or opinion. No thought at all, no opinions presented at all; only heresay, unfounded prejudice and kitsch. It’s more than kind of annoying, to be sure. Especially the kitsche playing off of cliche and american’s accepted associations. Frustrating. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t movies with messages. Some of them do have them; they’re just less common. I’m going to be looking into them.

Chances are I’ll be writing stuff down here as well as far as what I’m learning. I don’t really study, but explaining things to other people (even though I’m not sure all that many people bother to read my diary) achieves the same thing for me. Explaining and then understanding…that’s how i learn; by understanding. So you guys might be in for a treat of random audio-associated information, yay. Luckily, though, my classes aren’t really “this guy did this” but rather they’re just explaining how shizzy works and why it matters and blah blah. You’ll see how it builds on itself once you get to acoustics and how microphones work, etc. Anyway, I’m done for now. 😀

I never rarely movies…it’s a bad habit. But last night I watched Amélie. I loved it. But then again, I do like the French language/culture.

I meant to type “I rarely” not never rarely…ugh that was such awful grammar.
