it means have a happy feast.

I mentioned in a previous entry that i’m muslim and I explained some of the things we celebrate and do like the holy month(there is an entry called holy month if you want to understand),well yeasterday was the last day in the holy month(ramadan)and today we celebrate aid-al-fitr wich means the fastival of fast breaking.

what we basically do is that men and women if they want(it’s an obligation to men when it’s a choice for women and children too) wake up early to pray in what we call "al mussallah" which is basically outdoor locations and if the weather was terrible like rain they pray  in mosques like usual.then the whole family gather for a big breakfeast;you know a lot of food and a lot of sweets and cakes,it’s just delicious.

After the Eid prayer, Muslims usually scatter to visit various family and friends, give gifts (especially to children) it’s usually money or candy, and make phone calls to distant relatives to give well-wishes for the holiday. These activities traditionally continue for three days. In most Muslim countries, the entire 3-day period is an official government/school holiday. but it’s summer this year so we don’t need it.

i want just to tell to muslims in OD happy feast and i know I may be little late because in most countries the feast started yesterday inlike us today is the first day.if you have any questions you can ask even though I think I may travel because that’s the habit in those feasts.
