she’s walking up to me with corpse-cast eyes. his apathy hangs over her, betrayal trails behind. she’s an actress to her core, thinks she deserves the hurt she gets. she looks out to the horizon, and sadly nods her head. sweetheart can’t you see how beautiful you are? you’re so gorgeous i can’t understand it. you’re my onstage superstar. you let the best be taken from you by the worst people that you know. you’re drowning in his apathy. if you could only take control. your life is exquisite, beautiful and tame and at times i can’t believe the way you let him ruin you, let him haunt your sweetest dreams.
