there’s a lot more depth to a daydream when you’re speeding through the intersection, and the soundtrack to your escape is a single violin and the heavy sound of ominous grey thunder under a sinking sky. when you’re just dreaming of safety. when you’re running but you’re not hiding, because all you need is distance between you and the looming storms to save yourself. because when you are miles away from the torrential downpour that would have left you shivering and spent, you can stand on the hills and watch clouds collapse over the shadowy city, eveloping it in a sphere of destructive wind and piercing rain. in the background you can still hear the violin, playing out its final notes.

i love watching lightening through my skylight. this reminds me of that.

i’ve always loved listening to storms outside while laying in bed during the early hours of the morning. as long as there is shelter, a storm can be a beautiful thing.

this was wonderful. thunderstorms and rain are a lot more than weather.
