No longer a working woman!

My last day of work is Friday august 11, 2006.  I put in my notice yesterday because my grandfather is moving in with us and he just had a triple bypass and he is going to need some help!  My parents did not care seeing as I stood every shift on concrete floors and never got to sit down even when my feet were killing me and my shoes had become tight due to the swelling!    My baby’s daddy was like its about that time any way.  I was going to try to hold out until next month, but SHIT HAPPENS!  Plus the managment at my job is not the best.  They are all screwed up, each manager does everything different and there is no organization to the store at all.  Each manager is strong in only one thing and all the other areas they either screw up and we have to fix it or they just get smeone else to do the damn job.  And that pisses me off…..how can you really call yourself a manager when part time associates are in the store more hours than you?  Is that at all manager like?  I don’t think so! I had been unhappy with my working conditions for a while now, and the recent illness of my grandfather and the fact that he will be moving n with us for about a month- a month and ahalf was like God’s way of saying okay….u tried, u are overly exhausted everyday, now you can stay at home and take care of your grandfather ( who is 88 by the way and has to be on a special cardiac diet).  So that is my update for today…..love TRECIE AND BRAYLON!

P.S. Congrats to one of my favorites who recently found out that she was carrying her own little bundle of joy when she didn’t even think this was her month!!

Wow, you are so right about the loaded potato, I love those things (now that I’m not so sick anymore)! Yay to being able to stop working, but I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather. I can’t believe we live in the same town! You’re the first person I’ve “met” on OD who’s anywhere near Nashville!
