Merry Christmas with love always~~~

Carolers sing, Praise to the King
as church bells begin to ring
Children nervously sit on Santa’s knees
each with a plea for a gift to receive
Jolly St. Nick checks his list
as couples in love steal a mistletoe kiss
Homes decorated in lights red and green
and a carpet of snow creates a Hallmark scene
On Christmas Eve, the family draws near
snug in their robes and eager to hear
Dad’s soulful telling of A Christmas Story
of Jesus’ birth ~ to God be the glory
Then all join hands and a prayer is said
and the children are all whisked to their beds
Then Mom sneaks downstairs to reset the clocks
and carefully fills each Christmas sock
Morning arrives with shouts of glee
as presents are distributed from under the tree
But the greatest gift that’s ours to receive
is God’s wondrous love to all who believe~

May your Christmas overflow with love always~

Merry Christmas to you, adrift. May I please have the poem for our diary? Will say it’s by and from adrift. My diary name has been changed to Willy & Wilma. It sounds romantic, but Wilma is happily married to a wonderful, loving man. She is OD diarist CanadianJade. With her help and contributions of gems from other diarists and friends the diary has become a free Weekly Entertainment Magazine.billbakr@sbcglobal.net
