Brrr!

Dear Diary,

I do wish Mother Nature would stop dumping snow on us and warm up just a little! Winter is not my favorite season. I do agree with pretty at times, but not when I have to be out and about in it. We are supposed to be getting a heavy dumping on snow starting tomorrow and lasting until Tuesday. And temps are going to be anywhere from -20 to -35. Pass! Sometimes I wonder why I didn’t stay put in NC, but then I remember how much I missed Home. The amount of sadness and loneliness I felt being separated from my closest friends and closest family members. It was tough. So, now I have to tough it out in this awful weather. Only a couple of months to go…I can do this!

My mind was loud last night. As tired as I was, I laid awake for the longest time thinking about my future. Thinking about this new job. Thinking of the pay cut I am taking and if I can really afford it. The answer is yes, yes I can. I just need to cut out some of my luxuries and I’ll be set. As for the new job, I will do good. I know I will. Change has always been pretty hard for me. Routine bores me and I know it though. Change is good and this is what I need. I know I will thank myself a year from now. I just need to get through the first day jitters and I will be fine. I know I will be. 

My fur babies are making it impossible for me to get ready for the day. I have each baby on either side of me and they are so warm and loving. I just don’t want to get up from this spot. Not only is it warm, but they look so comfortable and content and happy. If I move, I disturb them. The joys of being a momma to fur babies. I love them so much. They make my world so much better. 

Anyway, Diary, I am gonna cuddle with them a few more minutes before I disturb them. I have plans with the family today that I’ve been looking forward to all week. Until next time.
