The Science Education Myth
http://www.businessweek.com/smallbiz/content/oct2007/sb20071025_827398.htm
“… the report finds that our education system actually produces more science and engineering graduates than the market demands.”
I’ve been conjecturing this for years. I don’t care what the high falutin’ projections made by the NSF or whoever say. The fact that engineers are forced to move to Vernon, TX to find work in their field means that the shortage must not be too severe. 🙂
The whole thing is a scam by big companies who hire engineers to flood the market with cheap labor. *mutter*
