Thank you sir, May I have another!!!*smack*

I started a new job this week…I’m working at Borders(the bookstore) Dist. Warehouse…I’m in processing, oh the fun!…stand on my feet for 10 hours stickering and sorting books…actually it’s not that bad…We work Monday-Thrusday 3:30p.m.-2:00a.m. and get Fri.,Sat.,and Sun. off…so that leaves time for my part time job at Insight…which is always good…Have to work my ass off to save money to move…

The week didn’t start off that good, I woke up to the sounds of my step dad yelling about something…I was like ok…whatever…went in took my shower, came out and ate lunch…he was all pissy about something with the condo that my mother and he are wanting to buy…so he proceeded to yell at me for it…I don’t understand people like that at all…why yell at someone who didn’t do anything…why yell at a person when you’re not really mad at them in the first place…someone who can’t change what is going to happen…I hate yelling…It scares me…always has…makes me get all nervous, start shaking and crying…makes my heart race and all I can do is sit there while someone yells at me…uhh…I hate that feeling…

So after he was done venting at me…I went on about my business getting ready for work…my first day and I was all shaken up already…it was going great…

So I got there and filled out all that crappy paper work for the government, suck ass. Then we went out onto the floor and started training…I’m training with 2 other ladies, LmDa(30) and Ylo(52)…Now…this stuff isn’t that difficult to learn or catch onto…you take the books out of the boxes from the pallet…you lay them on trays and push them down to the processor…they scan the book into the computer, list how many they have and what the price is…scan a ID card and push it down to the sticker person…who then scans the ID card with the info on it and the stickers pop out of the machine and you put them on the back of the books…then you push the tray down to the sorter person who looks at the stickers and puts the book in the box that matches the sticker…how hard can that be to learn??? well…for some people evidentally it’s REALLY fucking hard…I don’t know…I don’t want to be rude and all, but if you can’t move quickly you probably shouldn’t be doing this job, because you’re going to screw up everyone’s incentive pay and that’s going to piss me off…I’m there for one reason only, and it’s not to have fun for 10 hours…it’s to make money…don’t fuck it up for me…don’t get me wrong, they’re nice ladies, they crack me up for the most part…just hope they get the hang of it before long…We’ve already had 2 reviews…I passed with flying colors…and I was relieved…*smiles*

So the first day pretty much sucked ass…I mean it wasn’t awful because I’m working with Jess, Liz, Katrina, Zac, Phil…and bunch of people I know…that’s the only thing that really made it worth while…lol So I got home…took a shower…and got online…it had been a REALLY crappy day and I was just happy it was about over and my bed was calling my name…so I get online and I’m checking my mail and I figure it’s just a bunch of spam, grow your penis kind of mail…lol…

Anyway…I made it through the first week…my feet hurt like hell…and I actually like it…I’m weird like that…:-) later~megs
