Fallacy of society

I see the greatest damage to society done by two non-sequitors that are commonly overused, to which many great and monstrous evils are perpetuated:

In one hand I see how people speak about the necessity of society then leap to the necessity of a state. (Res: Rothbard, et al)
In the other hand I see how people infer an existence of a God (Deity) then leap to this God being of their book/religion. (Res: Hitchens, et al)
