I’ll Leave my Light on for You

He’s coming home early!!! I am beyond excited. He was originally planning on staying overseas until August. Now he’s coming back June 10th. *happy dance….cha cha cha! Happy dance….cha cha cha!* It is true that he is just going to head off to Indiana after he gets back, but he’s going to spend a few days w/me before heading over.  *sigh* Indiana is a long distance too…but its better than India, that’s for sure. At least we’ll be in a similar time zone and obtainable travel distances.

Over the last month I’d been thinking of just ending it with him. I hate this distance crap. And he had been a bit non-chalant w/me. I think part of it is his inexperience w/relationships. He’s a bit younger than me. 😀 lol.  And I also think he was just going through so many emotions in the last month with moving, switching jobs and nailing down a grad school.  We managed to talk today though…him in India at 2:30am and me in the states at 5:30pm.  It reminded me of why exactly I like him so much.  He has a weird sense of humor, much like mine. He gets my brand of sarcasm.  He’s sweet and understanding and open minded and so respectful of me.

I know he’s not perfect and if we keep up i’ll see his faults and he’ll see mine, but when i think of him it makes me smile and i’m also reminded of a silly but true quote by my favorite author of all time; Dr. Seuss. He said :  " We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love."

My countdown to June 10th begins!
