Messy sleep training.. Ugh!

Gah, I hate this.

So I let Cooper CIO right? We all know that.. It got soo good, every night progressivly better.  So now, he doesn’t wake at all really (except maybe once for a two minute complain) until after midnight (generally) and when he does he doesn’t stop crying.  Friday night it was 11pm – 1am that he cried, and cried and CRIED.  I went in once after 30 minutes of the crying to re-situate him, turn on his fisher price aquarium.. He screams bloody murder when I leave, but then he calmed down to the point where I thought he was asleep.. No such luck, 5 minutes later SCREAMING again.  At 1am, I gave in.. Swaddled him, boobed him and he was off to dreamy land until 645am. I just don’t get it.

Last night it was 4am, he went to bed late– missed supper because we were driving home from my sisters place.  At 4am same thing, scream crying.. I go in after 20 minutes, aquarium again.. NOTHING.. After another 15 minutes I go in, boob him. He won’t "settle" so I just bring him to bed with me and he wakes up at 7am.. He was not happy.  I assume his tummy hurt as he only had one poop yesterday (they boy is an at home pooper for sure).. Jeez..

This parenting gig is tough.. I wake up everytime he does thinking what have I done wrong?  He (i swear) has been teething off and on for months.. So that could be it.. It could be he is cold or hot.. I just don’t freakin’ know!

After his one night of sleeping thru I hoped/dreamed that this was it.. I finally made the right choice and him CIO taught him how to sleep properly.. Apparently not.

Please someone shed some light on this.. Help me.
