What’s So Bad About Kentuckeeee?
I find it to be highly abnoxious and exceptionally naive of people that use the fact that I’m from Kentucky as an arguing point when debating with me about any kind of subject. It belittles yourself, it’s pathetic, childish and imature. Besides who are you to honestly think that just because someone is from kentucky they are automatically a hillbilly or a redneck or some uneducated moron…? I mean really…? I graduated from a top high school in my state, I go to ITT Tech majoring in computer networking… I mean I don’t see where me being from Kentucky really effects me on any kind of educational level… I mean really. In fact a lot of people think that when they use my home state against me as if to insult me that that actually insults me or hurts my feelings when in all actuality it pisses me off because it’s so sad that that is all you can come up with for a rebuttle… It’s not like I diss you for being from California which is highly populated by extremely liberal, biased homosexuals, transexuals and anything else dirty there is, or even New York for that matter which is one of the nations top shit holes… Let’s just keep where we’re from out of the arguments… Gracias.

That is a tad hypocritical since you attacked the fact I’m from Canada to diss what I had to say. Personally, I’ve got nothing against Kentucky. I’ve actually been there a few times, and every visit was a good one. My family (on my Dad’s side) had a huge reunion in Bowling Green one year, and we all had a great time. So while I may disagree and say many things about ya, one thing you’ll never hear me do is diss Kentucky. I have nothing but good things to say about that state… Later,

I went to Morehead state for a semester in 2001. While it was a beautiful state, I did not care too much for all the people, but then again, its no different then anywhere else. And only NYC is a shit hole. Upstate is quite lovely. You can make some of the people happy all of the time, all of the people happy some of the time, but you can never make all of the people happy all of the time.

Your not being a hypocrite by showing examples of stereotyping another state. I say if they don’t want to hear insults about other states then they need to keep their own insults about Kentucky to themselves. They need to learn respect, but it’s a two way street.

I agree with you here. You sound like an intelligent guy, if a little hot tempered. I have visited Kentucky, and met quite a few passionate intelligent people. Being from Texas originally, I too have dealt with people’s prejudice. However, when you use people’s sexuality to insult them (as you do here for NYC) you make yourself seem, well, kind of slow.
