Abortion

While I agree with your stance on abortion, especially partial-birth abortion, I hope you are not so harsh and unforgiving in life as on this diary page. As Christians, God calls us to love, not to judge and turn our backs on others. Abortion breaks my heart. But name calling does nothing for our cause.

Random reader… Saw you on the Front Page. I’m saw but all I read and see here is hate. And God is NOT about hate. He’s about love. He’s about compassion and forgiveness. Do you honestly think that through hostility and belittlement you’ll ever change someone’s opinion on something as significant as abortion…? You can post a thousand YouTube videos, but it’s not going to make any difference… Women who have abortions need HELP, support, moral guidance…not attacks. Not condemnation. Who are YOU to judge?? God turns His back on NONE of His children. Even the worse sinner, yes, a murderer, if he or she feels true remorse and genuinely repents before God SHALL be FORGIVEN. But who would even think to ask such a thing, to put the energy and effort into repenting, when they see people like you, CLAIMING to be a Christian, but preaching with such hatefulness?? You and those like you do honest Christians a terrible mis-service. This is NOT what Christ was about. Please, stop corrupting His holy spirit. But a part of the solution, not the problem. Stop spreading division and start helping to bring all humanity together under the grace of the church.

I can see ur point and u are right in fact, I can maturely admit that yes. But at the same time I sense hostility in your tone here and definite judgement on your part as well, so if you’re going to preach it than live it as well, otherwise keep it yo yourself… Sry but it’s true.

You claim that people have a right to believe what they want and then turn around and state something as an undisputable fact. This of course is very common for a two-faced, hypocritial Christian who very often says one thing and means another… For someone who believes in a God that is all about turning other cheeks and forgiveness, you sure are full of a lot of hate. I always enjoy when atheists tell Christians how Christians are supposed to act. It’s almost always cliche and absent even a basic understanding of scripture. They’re always judgmental but they’ll be the first to shout ‘you can’t judge me.’ As for abortion, it is murder plain and simple. This country has murdered 50 million unborn babies in 36 years. That’s 4 times the total number of people murdered by Hitler and half as many murdered in the Soviet Union’s existence. We have a genocide of the unborn going on in this country. We allow doctors to suck the life away from a baby, one that has a beating heart no less.

Clearly Notliberal forgets that people are fully capable of looking at and analyzing organized religion from a different perspective. One such way would be from a location where people go to get higher learning, say… a college or University. Even atheists are allowed to attend courses that study religious texts (all of them) and I found those courses quite educational, especially given that I don’t subscribe to any of them. Funny thing I have to point out: most of the professors in the Religious Studies department were agnostic. Go figure… As for his comment about not judging people, if I’m not mistaken… that book he clings to clearly says ‘Judge not, yest ye be judged’. It clearly forbids someone from casting judgements on others for according to his God, that’s overstepping his bounds because judgement is supposed to be His job. Then again, NL only cherry picks parts of the bible that agree with him and disregards the rest. I doubt he’s ever read that book from cover to cover because he can’t stand anything that conflicts with his way, even if it came from God.
