Excited About Billy Gillispie At UK

After a lot of research and listening to this coach at his press conference. I have to honestly say that even though he’s not what I wanted, and he’s not a huge name in the college basketball world, and he’s only been a head coach in div. 1 for 5 years… I have to say I like him thus far, I like him a lot. He has a great attitude, tons of enthusiasm. He has a will and NEED to win, not a want, but a NEED and that is what we need as fans. He’s young and I think his enthusiasm will shine through to his players and they will have the same desire to win.
Also I love the fact that he is a top notch recruiter, he likes recruiting within the state. I love the fact that he is big on the full court press which Tubby was not, also Tubby did not recruit much at all within the state. I love the fact that he conditions very hard in practices and works his players so hard that being able to run the floor the entire game on defense and offense is nothing to them. That’s another thing Tubby did not do. So I’m really looking forward to the changes Billy G is bringing to UK and I very excited about next season and seeing who he brings in recruits.
