Broken Down Blues

I swear fate is playing a huge cosmic joke on me. I really do.

I juuuuuust start getting things going in the right direction and feeling good about it and WHAM! something happens LOL

I had to go fill out the final paperwork for my new job today. The car wouldn’t start. Luckily tho it finally did. I have an electrical problem, just so you all know. I’ve been chasing it for like 5 years now trying to find out where it is.

So, I finally get the car to start but I hear thunder…keep in mind part of my electrical problem is I cannot use my wipers…and I have 30 miles in heavy traffic to get to the office.

I start driving…the sky OPENS UP right when I hit a 55 MPH one lane road. I have no choice but to turn on my wipers. I do, all the electrical goes out. I happened to be next to a driveway into the forest preserves…SCORE! I muscle my way in (no power steering) and the car starts again after about 5 minutes. Sweet!

As I pull out onto the road the rain becomes a sprinkle and lasts that way all the way there. W00t! I am thinkin way to go girlie!

I get everything done and the car starts when I go to leave. YES! Thank you Jesus! I go to the drug test (they weren’t having me test anything good) and it starts! Lawd thank you for being so good to me!

I start on the way to mom’s house, I stop for gas and put my last $7.00 in the tank..

Yup, you guessed it…wouldn’t start….I was broke down at pump number 5 (do you hear the song???). Not only that, but I had to push it away from the pump…BY MYSELF! Wooohooo

Luckily, mom is paying for my insurance right now and part of that is roadside assistance. They are not only sending me a tow in the next 2 hours, but they will call me 10 minutes before it gets there so I can walk back. How sweet is that?!?!? OMG I am soooo lucky!

Yes, I do not mind this on the surface (inside I want to explode) at least it is an adventure and I am not at that icky job I hate so much…right? LOL

*Praying* please Lawd, let this not be too spencive, I know I have had a run of incredible luck lately but this is one I can’t help myself out of…so please, please, please let this work out ok so I can have this new job with the honkin paycheck!
