A semi-update.

I’m feeling a lot less frustrated compared to my last entry posting mood.  And a lot more calm, by far.  It’s hockey season, people, I get emotional.  Ahem.  I know how lame I am, you guys don’t have to tell me, but I love my hockey.  I’m glad I’ve got Steffi around — we’ve been bonding all hockey season, and it’s good to have someone to watch the playoffs with.  I can IM her and say things like “SO, did you set up your murder-for-hire!?” and she gets it!  Ahahaha.  Don’t even get me started on Mike Danton.  What a horrible way to come out of the closet.  I feel bad for the rest of the possible gay NHL-ers, because now they’re pretty much screwed.  The entire world is so freaking homophobic.  Seriously.  Oh well.

I went and saw Ella Enchanted!  Muwha.  Yes, the Unofficial Senior Skip Day fell on a Black Day(our stupid block scheduling terms..), so I didn’t have honors government.  And therefore, I skipped school, because the majority of the rest of my classes seem absolutely worthless as of late.  So what did I do on my day off?  Well, Stephanie and I went and saw Ella Enchanted, of course!  Ahaha.  It was a great movie, too, dammit.  I don’t care if it’s supposed to be for kids.  Go see it!  The song and dance numbers were especially amusing.  And that’s not even the best part — what did we do after the movie?  Well, we went to Barnes & Noble.  To look for hockey romance novels. >D  Our latest guilty pleasure.  Yeah, yeah… keep laughing.  Just wait until you get your hands on one — you’ll become addicted too.  So Senior Skip Day was wonderful.  Everything I’d imagine it to be.  Sometimes, there are perks to being upperclassmen…

Oh yeah!  And what comes before Senior Skip Day?  Prom!  Yeah, I actually went, despite the fact that no one in a 1000 mile radius would ever ask me to be their date.  Steffi agreed to be my date, so it was all good.  Hahaha.  So we took a limo to Macaroni Grill for dinner.  The food was great — but since Steffi and I are cheap, instead of getting real food, we just shared something called “desert, desert, desert!”  Hell yeah.  It was good.  After dinner, since we had a little time, we WERE going to walk over to Borders and look at books… but unfortunately, the limo showed up and we were whisked off to prom.  Prom was at some place in Carmel.  I don’t even know what it was.  But the place was still nice, surprisingly enough.  Once we arrived we went on some picture taking adventures and mingled for a while… and ate some chocolate covered strawberries.  Mmmm.  Eventually, we started dancing and overall, the night was a blast.  We did a lot of group dancing and I think we might’ve scared some people to death.  And according to all the mommies, we got on film a ton. ::snickers:: But yeah.  The best part was the final slow dance to our prom song, “I’ll Be.”  We all decided to slow dance ala Romie and Michelle’s High School Reunion.  Some people were laughing… others, I think we might have just pissed off.  Oh well!  We had fun, and that’s all that really matters.  They could have moved to the other side of the dance floor if they didn’t like it.  So after we waited around to be the absolute last group a the place for the limo, it finally showed and we headed back to Pam’s house.  I changed in my car(Yep, I somehow managed it.  I have teh skill, I know. >D) and then we headed over to After Prom at the bowling alley.  It was packed and hard to breathe so after getting some free food, we ditched.  We being Noelle, Steffi and I.  We came back to my place and, being the cool girls we are, watched D2: The Mighty Ducks until we fell asleep.  Emilio playing hockey really, really makes me laugh.  It makes you laugh too, does it not? ^_^

The next day we woke up around 1:00pm after Noelle’s mom(a SLIGHT bit overprotective) called about thirty times.  She called the house line.  She called Stephanie’s phone.  She called Noelle’s phone.  So after about the sixth time Steffi’s phone rang, she finally rolled over and answered it and made Noelle call her mom back.  So we were pretty much up after that — I know I wasn’t getting back to sleep after Steffi rolled off the couch and hit the ground, since I couldn’t stop laughing.  About a half an hour of sitting on our asses and then we made a frozen pizza.  Watched some TV — Muppet’s Treasure Island, actually — and then the dual hockey games came on.  Steffi and I dragged Noelle down into the basement and we watched both games all the way through.  Woot.  They had to go home after that… but man, what an experience.  Prom was suprisingly good, so yay for that.

So now that I’ve given a semi-update, I should get off my ass and make some lunch.  Maybe I’ll write some more later.  We’ll see.
