nOjOmO 1: If I Knew Then What I Know Now

Hmmmmm. I suppose there’s a lot of things, really. A lot… and not a lot – all at the same time. There are small things that I’ve learned that would’ve been great tips to know beforehand. But the BIG thing? Well… I suppose that would be purpose.

I wish I knew from the time I was little that life had a purpose. I think that, as little kids we sort of know that. Like we are born with an instinct that we play an important part and can make a difference. Life is our adventure to explore – you know? Then somewhere along the line we get introduced to "reality," but the reality many of us run into is the idea that the world defines us rather than us defining the world. So many people go through times in their life where  they can get run down and discouraged – just dully being dragged along by life.

I wish I had known early on that there’s more to life than this flat, unsatisfying idea of "life." That there’s more to life than living just for yourself. That there’s a greater plan out there for MY life – and that I don’t have to be content with just surviving when I could be thriving. I wish I had known earlier how radically God could rock my world if I chose to let Him and get back to the purpose He had intended for me. I wish I had known earlier that His plans for me are so much better than my plans for me.

I did figure it out… eventually. When I was like 15. But everyday that we don’t choose to give God our everything and surrender to His purpose we waste valuable time, and we choose death over life – REAL life.

So yeah. This is what I wish I had known earlier in life. Now you know and hopefully you can start opening your eyes to the amazing plan God has for your life.
