Not a fan of curveballs

So I knew my best friend got engaged and would be getting married. I knew I would want to go be there for her. I didn’t know when she was planning on getting married. I found out today they’re planning to get married in April.

::headdesk::

WHY she hasn’t told me yet can only be assumed b/c she’s a little flighty sometimes. She’s the blondest brunette I’ve ever met. 🙂 But this curveball throws a big ole’ monkey-wrench into my plans. See Hubby and I were going to start trying for another baby this month. On one hand I’m glad I found out now (before we started trying this week!) and I wasn’t 100% on the idea. On the other hand I wish she had told me sooner! 🙂 I’m not sure how long she’s known so I won’t get upset with her just wish I had known. 🙂

So since I want to be sure I’m not so close to my due date that I can’t go to the wedding I’m going to tell Hubby I want to wait. He’ll be cool with it I’m sure. Plus, this way I won’t be freshly pregnant or trying to get pregnant during my CPST course this month. And I’m actually happy to wait until October so we can have a July baby. 🙂 I like the idea of July better than May for some strange reason.

So it will all work out in the end it’s just a curveball I wasn’t anticipating! 🙂

Now I need to write a grocery list and a menu for the next few weeks. As much as I love being on top of the menu and grocery shopping I really hate this task. I feel like it takes forever and I never know what I’m going to make so I sit here looking at the calendar blankly going “What on earth am I going to make for dinner?!” *sigh* C’est la vie!
