You’ve gotta be kidding me. **EDIT x2**

Hubby finally got his assignment today. Sadly, it isn’t Ohio. Unfortunately, it isn’t Arizona. Amazingly, it isn’t even DC. Ready for this BS?

We’re going to Hawaii.

I cried. I’m so not happy. How the hell am I going to move (read: FLY) 3 cats to Hawaii? How can I be sure Ebby doesn’t die?! I can’t handle this. I so can’t handle this.

After looking up the rules for flying into Hawaii with pets we’re already screwed. If you’re flying between the islands or OUT of Hawaii then you can have your pets (of certain weight/size) in the passenger compartment with you. If you’re flying INTO Hawaii from the mainland you can NOT have them in the passenger compartment and they must be checked into baggage. There’s also a blood test they have to have done at least 120 DAYS before the arrive. We’re already UNDER 120 days and therefore the kitties wouldn’t be allowed the “5 Day or Less Quarantine” and would be FORCED to sit in quarantine until those 120 days are up. Thanks to everyone at fucking AFPC that fucked everything up so much that now I don’t know how I’m going to get our cats to Hawaii to live with us. If you would have done your fucking jobs and gotten Hubby his assignment THREE MONTHS AGO like you were SUPPOSED TO we wouldn’t be looking at having to leave our cats behind. *cries*

It just keeps getting better *eyeroll*. I just found out that the kids all have to have had 2 rounds of rabies vaccines in their life (no problem) after they’ve been micro chipped (problem). None of our kitties have been micro chipped due to laziness on our parts and no “need” to have had it done. So NOW on top of the 120 day wait for this blood test we have to do the following if we want to take them with us:

Get them micro chipped.

Get new rabies shot.

Wait 30 days.

Get 2nd rabies shot.

Wait 30 more days.

Get blood drawn for blood test.

Wait 120 days before they can enter Hawaii unless we want them sitting in quarantine.

At this point I’m not so upset that we’re going there, but that we’ve found out so damn late that the kitties won’t be able to enter the state until probably July. We get there in March. What the hell am I going to do? Hubby says we’ll get them there but at this point it’s looking like such a freakin’ mess.
