Nothing to report.

Sadly I have nothing to report in regards to Hubby’s orders (or lack of assignment I should say, because that’s more accurate). He called AFPC today since this was the end of the 3rd of 3 business days since he opened and they elevated his ticket with the Assignments people. They said “Assignments is still working on it.” Oh. My. GOSH. I’m at the point where I really do think I may just start crying by the end of the week out of sheer frustration.

One of Hubby’s classmates went to see the Chief after class today and the Chief called AFPC himself and if the Chief doesn’t hear back from them by Noon tomorrow he’s calling back and talking to THEIR Chief. That’s the call that will get shit happening. So it looks like we “should” know by Friday. However, how many times we’ve heard “You’ll hear by XX.” is too many to count and I’m not getting my hopes up. Although if we don’t hear by Friday I will cry. Exodus starts next week so NOBODY will be around to work on these things b/c everyone will be gone for the holidays. We’re coming up on 30 days from Hubby’s grad date and that’s supposed to be the very LATEST they can get him an assignment. So basically they’re cutting it close and it’s very frustrating.

I did end up going into the bedroom last night b/c the 2 crazy kitties out in the main part of the house would not leave me alone enough to sleep. So it took me an hour to fall asleep b/c all I could think about was the damn icky bug and if there were more of them around. The Orkin man did come today though and sprayed inside and out and I hope that did the trick b/c I can’t handle seeing anymore of those gross things.

Hoping for an assignment feels like hoping for world peace anymore. It would be so nice but you know it’s not going to happen. Ugh. Hopefully the next time I write I’ll have awesome news of an assignment. Until then, I’m so frustrated.
