Not digging it

UGH.

I sense a very uncomfortable night in my future. 

So, I’ve made friends with this guy, Mac, at work. We really got talking when we found out we were both high school band geeks. He invited me to come see a little jazz concert that he and his buddies are playing at a local cafe. I’m totally down!  BUT I can tell that he has a crush on me and it’s definitely not reciprocated. I just want friends!! Is that so much to ask? Also, why me?! I literally do NOTHING attractive. Just because I talk to him? Boo. GAH. I’m just so frustrated! I do NOT want to have to have a conversation with him about how I don’t want to date him or anybody. 

However, I do have a hair appointment tomorrow morning. Maybe I’ll look so hideous with even shorter hair that he’ll be frightened away back to the friend zone. One can only hope.
