Life, loss, and moving-on

A mother loses her life, her family loses their mother. The friends of this woman all stunned with sadness by her loss. A ripple effect of emotions crushing those she knew. One mother dies, a child is born, and life moves on…

I have allowed myself to grasp the fragility of life through my experiences. A loss of a loved one, the death of a good friend, the horrible tragedies that plague our world, we become programmed to inhale such blows only to exhale them in the hopes of moving on.

It’s often that the path we follow in life is one into which we pave with our decisions and choices. When life throws a curve ball, it’s the amount of strength we hold that dictates the direction of this path. I have learned to follow a path by including experiences of loss, instances of sadness, joy, regret, and wisdom, and literally every moment that has shaped my life. Currently, I have plenty of causes for concern, but enough willpower and goodness in my life to continue.

So as short and pinpointed as my limited span of creativity is at this moment, I felt the need to stop and take a minute to realize where I am and where I’m going. Moments of clarity don’t always have to be proven through our actions; sometimes it’s the unbelievable gift of expression that helps us remedy our woes.
