Well…that could’ve been worse

Hey kids!

So I had an evening out with my favourite gal, Tamara.  We spent like 5 hours together, it was awesome.  We didn’t really have a plan of action, we just sorta wandered from place to place.  First we got ice cream, and chatted a while at Dairy Queen, then headed over to the duck pond.  There wasn’t anybody else there but us, so we sat on top of the picnic tables and just watched the ducks for a while.  Then we walked back into town cuz Tamara was getting hungry (I picked her up at work when she was off at 5, so she hadn’t eaten), and strolled over to Pizza Delight for supper.  Ended up staying there for 2 hours, it was ridiculous!  All of a sudden we were like, oh wow it’s 9:00, we should probably pay our bill!

From there we headed over to my house.  My feet were friggin’ killing me, cuz lemme tell you, walking all over town in flip flops is no picnic.  Gah.  It was worth it though *goofy grin*
We sat on my couch for a bit, and then I was like, "Wanna go out on the deck?"  So we did!  And we perched on the side railings and looked at the stars and talked.  Talked talked talked.  Talked about all sorts of things.  At one point, it turned to some rather intellectual discussion of pop music, and "I Kissed A Girl" by Katy Perry came up.  And I was like "Speaking of which…have you ever kissed a girl?" and she basically said yes, twice.  And then asked me the same question, which I suppose was fair.  And I answered honestly, "Yeah…quite a bit, actually." and she was like "Oh I know."

Um…excuse me?!

"What?  How…when…wha-…how’d you figure that one out?"
"Oh after our first few conversations, I kinda assumed."
"Really…what gave me away?"
"I’m not sure really…but I’ve got a friend at school who’s gay, and I guess I kinda noticed some similarities."
"Oh yeah?….So you gonna hook us up?"

Bahaha.  I told her that Nick knew as well, cuz stupid Ryan had told him, and I said that Nick makes fun of me about it all the time, but I do it right back cuz he’s bi as well.  I said he had one up on me though, cuz he knew the name of my crush, but I didn’t know any of the guys he’d "had relations" with.  I just neglected to tell her that said crush was…well, her.  The moon was out and she just looked so pretty.  All I wanted to do was lean forward that extra inch and kiss her…but I couldn’t.

I’ve made a decision.  The only way I’m going to tell her (unless she figures it out on her own or Nick lets it slip) is when I’m leaving this town.  She’d be the only reason for me to stay, and even so, I might still leave.  But I’d feel like something was missing if I left without telling her.

So yeah….there you have it folks.

hey babes, what a great entry, i reckon you should bite the bullet and tell her…. no actually… i was going to say that if she was your real friend it wouldn’t affect your friendship… but i spent about two years inlove with my best friend and keeping it a secret, so biting the bullet is actually as hard as it sounds! i hope your work it out, why are you leaving by the way? xXx
