Delay…
Well, I got an email last night from Dell saying that my laptop shipped today.
>.<
It was supposed to have shipped last Monday. I called Dell, I CALLED THEM, to make sure it would ship last week so that it would be here in Seattle when I got here (or shortly after). They assured me that as long as I didn’t make any changes to the build (i.e. just ordering the stock laptop) that it would ship, at the latest, on Tuesday, Dec. 31st.
So I called Dell today to ask what happened. He informed me that the first person I talked to must have been looking at the wrong product because they had been behind on shipping them for 3 weeks. >.< So I asked what we could do about it? I’m not entirely sure it will get here before I have to leave. Had I known all this I would have done 2 day delivery… Not exactly sure what to do. The worst part is my sister’s bf and I are going to do a bunch of hardware changes to it, and now I don’t think we’ll have the time, which just pisses me off… Fuckin’ Dell… if it wasn’t an Alienware laptop I was getting, I would have NEVER bought from them.
Went to my first doctor appointment today, my ENT. It’s always good to see her. I was there for four hours while we did a few tests, a hearing test, and set up appointments for a sleep study, and an oral medicine specialist. Apparently the guys that do this oral medicine are very rare, with only a few of them in the world. They are going to try and figure out why I’m not creating enough saliva, and why I’m so dry all the time (one of the things I was going to tell you about).
It’s bad. I get so dry sometimes it actually spreads down into my esophagus and I can’t swallow without drinking something. Anyway, hopefully they can figure that out. Thank god I have insurance!
Tomorrow I go in for the prep work to have a crown put in. And Thursday I see my GP to talk about mental health meds, and a few other issues I’m having. Mainly the itching I’ve been experiencing.
Okay, the big entry is to come, y’all. It’s probably not that big a deal, but it sure feels like it is to me. Hopefully I’ll be writing it on my new laptop…
Ciao,
