oof-tah…

no, i have no idea what it means.  just something my family says when getting up, or after eating on thanksgiving… just a general exclamation of satisfaction/getting old.

so, i am bored out o fy mind at the moment.  i keep coming back to this cafe on 76th & Broadway, Così.  they have free WiFi and i use it liberally.  i think i’ve been here a total of 10 times since i’ve been in NYC (this is while here both last week and now).  pretty good food, but really i’m just here for the WiFi.  lets be honest…

so, tonight i’m goign to see La bohéme.  very exciting.  i’m going with a friend i guess you could say, from right here on OD.  she loves opera and so do i.  and i thought it would be more exciting to meet someone AND go see an opera simulaneously.  yes, i’m a multitasker.  lol

i’m sitting here in Così and looking around at the people in this establishment.  there are many varieties, from college-age students to business men in suits, people in track suits just getting down with their jog, AND someone in full costume for japanese dancing (no idea… there are bunch of street performers a few blocks away).  i think thats what i like about NYC.  its crazy because there are so many people… but beyond that, so many different TYPES of people.  its wonderful.

granted, the people here get a little tired of one another and swear, threaten, and generally become the most impatient people in the world, but other than that the diversity is great! 🙂

anyway, i don’t actually have anything to write about.

OH!  yes i do.  the last entry was before i went to see if i got a callback…

well…

i did!  i have to sing again at 7pm… (7:07pm exactly i think).  which means i should have PLENTY of time to get down to Lincoln Square for the opera by 8:30.

anyway… that is the end of my randomness…  i honestly have nothing better to write.  not sure what i’m going to do with myself for the next 30 minutes before i leave up to my cousins.  i’m staying with her and her husband Yakovos (i think thats how he spells it) for the next few nights.  thank god, that hotel was expensive… but nice and centrally located.  lol

okay, bye!

p.s. wish me luck tonight!

I was supposed to see the Baz Luhrman (spelled that so wrong) production in NYC years ago but that was the week broadway orchestras went on strike. BAD LUCK for me. Enjoy it! I wish I could see a good show like that right about now.
