Christmas Crafting

I really need to get on it on these projects!

Here’s the run down:
Scarves for:
Karen’s Mom = done, in lovely, "Tranchilla" as Rob calls it. The yarn does kind of look like taranchila fuzz.
My Mom = done, in Chaos brindley… I wasn’t so sure about it, so I showed it to her, and she likes it
Lil Sis = done, it’s cool blues and purples
Dad’s Mom = I bought the yarn yesterday, startted it today, it’s saphire blue, Mom thinks she’ll like it
Dad’s Dad = I have some flat grey colored yarn, I don’t know if he’d appreciate one though
Mom’s Mom = I have some creamy colored yarn with flecks of browns, I think she’ll like it (I have no idea what color she’d prefer, she has many coats, all different color LOL)
Rob’s = a 12 foot long Dr Who scarf… I still need to buy the yarn, part of me wants to take him along, the rest thinks that would be the coolest surprise!

other knitted stuff
a lap blanket I promised Karen ages ago
some cutesy snowmen for decorating
perhaps a tree skirt
hammocks for my rats & opossum (it’s getting cold)
I also want to try stockings

other random stuff
bird seed cakes
painted wooden ornaments
some little gifties for my secret Santa (nothing too fancy, I just got a notion)
some cat toys
some dog toys

Then there’s the cookies that Rob wants to bake, and that’s a loooong evening of family fun

So I’d better get crackin!

Oh… and just so no one worries, each scarf takes about 2 hours… Rob’s will probably take 4-5. The tree skirt & lap blanket will probably take 3-4 hours. I have no idea how long the bird seed cakes will take, or if they’ll even work. The ornaments will take me 1 afternoon. The cat & dog toys & hammocks don’t take too long, maybe 45 min. apeice? This is why I love knitting on my loom LOL

Wow that’s quite some knitting! I am taking an age with my knitting here. I have just finished a pair of socks for my boyfriend and have another for my housemate on the needles. I have a long list of projects I’d like to start! Next year I’d like to get some of that rough cotton and knit washcloths and then get some nice soap from Lush and make some little stocking fillers with them.

You’re obviously a very fast knitter if you can make a scarf in two hours! They sound like lovely gifts… (huggles)
