Tooth #3 is Gone

Well my #3 tooth….third one from back on top is GONE. I finally looked at the clock lastnight for the last time about 12:30. For some reason I could not go to sleep. I was upright in the bed and pacing the floor and dying from the pain in my tooth clear into my ear at 2:00 a.m.
I tried heat, vanilla extract, ice, tea bag, cloves, CRYING and  everything to no avail. FInally got ahold of this dentist in town at 7:50 they would see me at 8:15. This tooth has been cracked since I went to the dentist on 11/2/2006. I made her mad at that time and she would not pull it because I did not have the money for the crown etc. she wanted. Hence I asked her, "what part of I live on Social Security and can NOT afford this do you not understand?" SHe basically told me she would NOT be doing anything then and wanted me to go see someone else at that time. Shortly after the tooth stopped hurting and has not bothered me until this morning. Well I guess it broke off some more and the root or nerve or something was exposed. It took him a long time to get it out and it broke apart. I asked him why was so hard since it was cracked? He said the root was in there solidly and it wouldn’t be much longer. Well after all the cracks, pops,digging and pressure it was done. A few stitches later and I was on my way with news of needing several crowns since the fillings in the back molars were so HUGE that the tooth back on all these teeth would break as well soon. I said well how much are YOUR crowns and how much will it all cost so I can give my boyfriend the bill. When Kerry called me a sec ago I told him that and he laughed and said that I was a mess. I told him that is why he loves me because I am a mess and I make him laugh. At anyrate they gave me papers on CareCredit to see about that and told me Blue Cross was she thought about $35.00 a month and they would pay for cleaning right away at 100%…fillings in 6 months and crowns in a year. SO I guess I will see about that as well. I told her it would be awhile since I have so much going on medically. She understood. Also Dr. G. put some clotting stuff in the novacaine, and used some patch stuff in the vacated hole to help with healing and clotting and also stitched it up. I am going to see if I can get some sleep now since he gave me meperidine forte (like morphine) with promethazine in it(which is for nausea and vomiting). Hugs to you all and if this continues to feel this much better after I wake up maybe I can get some reading here done tonight. I hope it stays NUMB for awhile….lol
