I was Thinking…
I had read an entry from " Bigfoot on the Bayou" Titled "How Lucky are You?" (on BloopDiary) he spoke of 4 – leaf clovers and such and it got me thinking about kids today for some reason. Today I see alot of kids sitting in front of T.V.’s, video games, etc. and not getting out to enjoy life. I can remember as kids we played King of The Hill, rode bikes (not scooters), caught horney toads, played all kinds of games and enjoyed life. I think alot of kids today don’t even know what a horned toad is, or how to play with a hoop and a stick rolling it down the street, or what even King of The hill is. How is it that todays society got so busy that parents don’t sit down with their children for a meal all together, play games in the middle of the living room floor with them if even for one evening a week. I feel todays lifestyles have become so complex and so worried about self that we have gotten away from what REALLY matters, our families. I see this even in Kerry’s family there are 7 kids and they are to "busy" to stay in touch with other members of the family. I see this in my family where my parents might not hear from some of my siblings for months on end (well unless they need something). I think it is a sad state of affairs what our home lives, and society has become these days. I am sure there are tons of you that do have close family lifestyles that play together, worship together etc. it is just my opinion the days of old are GONE from the way the majority of people live. They are to busy making that all mighty buck to either survive or play and forget what is important…. FAMILY!!!!!
I agree. Then they wonder why family is not there when they really need them.

I don’t know what King of the Hill is, and I’m older than you. It must be an American game! We didn’t have television until I was a few years old, and of course there were no computer games or DVD players. I think the worst thing is seeing young children with mobile ‘phones!
