Days 9 10 11 12 …… Paris !!!

Thursday 18 July

Leaving Lucerne……..train to Zurich……à Zurich Station, 80 dollars for 1 agapantha flower (got heaps back home where we classify them as weeds)……very fast TGV train to Paris….found money machine outside Gare de Lyon….didnt want to try to work out Metro…..so taxi to Palais des Congress de Paris….35 Euros including tip….Haitian lady driver…waiting at wrong bus stop for LOTB…..rendezvous à 7.25pm, just 25 minutes late….Metro to Pigalle….right on the edge of the red light district…old fashioned hotel….no lift…..nice people…..savouring Paris and the noises of the big city….dinner out at Templier (Montmatre)….."&^^!!….

Friday 19 July

Breakfast out at Brioche Doree…..shifted hotel to Villa Royale….George Sand room…..jacuzzi…..*’""è(…..walk up to Sacre Coeur….Montmatre artists….views back to the city….out to dinner à Autentico…..yummy pasta….walked busy Paris streets….city lights and noises……"_!!!"

Saturday 20 July

Out to Latin Quarter….Luxembourg Gardens…..walking, walking, walking….Louvre….padlocks on the bridge….throwaway the key to cement lovers pact….Metro back to Pigalle…out to dinner….singing waiter….tira misu (divine…)….."**!!!

Sunday 21 July

Walk to Stalingrad…..brekkie out…..train to Versailles…..French splendour…..the extravagence of the King’s Palace….very hot……fountains….gardens…..crowds…..seeing the Tour de France….crowds 6 deep on sidewalk….cool drinks……crepes with banana and hazel nut spead (yummy)…"!!à’"!…packing up….walk to Gare du Nord…..(couldnt work ticket machine for tomorrow’s journey because I had wrong reference number)….last night in Paris………………………
