The mommy club

I’m starting to learn that being a Mom seems to move you up in social status. As soon as people in the neighborhood found out she was born it seems that we were finally noticed as a part of the neighborhood. The neighbor across the street comes over everytime she sees us out now and me and kayley have acutually started to walk a mile or more with her and her 17 month old every morning. We have lived here since October and the only time she has really said much to us was halloween when she told us we wouldn’t get any trick-or-treaters. seems teh other neighbors have taken an interest in us also. One of them tha i had never met before came over cause she had to just hold the baby. This isn’t much of a bad thing i’m acutually enjoying it but i think it’s wierd that we live here since October and the neighbors don’t really accept us until we have a child. Ah well i guess i better enjoy the socialness while i have it and it’s nice to have someone to walk with doesn’t make it seem like we are walking so far. I have more i wanted to type but i’m done pumping so if i want a shower i better get off and go take it before i have to give Kayley her bath and get her ready for bed.

I think it’s more about having something in common and something to talk about than about accepting you. People just love new babies 🙂

i think it’s just having something in common with you. people gravitate towards other people that have children
