MY HUSBAND GOT THE JOB

WHAT.  A.  RELIEF.

Super brief recap if you aren’t up to speed – Mitchell (my husband’s) dream job came open at his dream company which is across the country from us.  Yes, in a place that has an OPPOSITE climate and is also thousands of miles away from Big City, where we are now and in the state where we both grew up.  Where all of our family and friends are… you get the picture.

Anyway, Mitchell flew down, met with company executive team last week – and they called him Wednesday, with an offer!!!  I honestly cannot believe it.  This has been literally a 2 month process, and is now… well, FAR from over, but at least we know!

So here comes the fun part.  Mitchell officially told his current job yesterday.  His boss somewhat scrambled to counter-offer what new company did, but Mitchell still is so incredibly excited and ready for a change.  And to be honest, so am I.  I am SO ready for a change… a warmer climate, a fresh start.  Of course I’m super afraid.  This is pushing me well beyond my comfort zone, and I need to adapt.  However, knowing Mitchell will be by my side, and vice versa, well it makes it a little easier!

Now it’s time to tell my job, and to find a job in New City.  Don’t imagine I’ll have any problems with that.  🙂  So Mitchell’s New company wants him to start October 22nd.  We are going to keep our house, which we own in Big City and turn it into a rental… it’s also a fail-safe JUST in case New City doesn’t work out. 😉 So I will most likely stick around Big City until December.  With our dog K.  Time to pack up – AGAIN!  We have been in our house now for two years.  But life seems to come up with crazy bumps every now and then, right? 🙂

Anyway, just wanted to share my good new with you all.  So, so, so happy for Mitchell.  This is LITERALLY, literally his dream job.  Seeing his face the last few days has been so inspiring.

Much love,

~Elle
