acolades

I’ve recently enjoyed reading Damien more than anyone on here.

the rest of you should model your lives after hers, or build an altar to her

With the exception of her inexplicable love of anime and her unnatural fearlessness of zombies (which are the scariest things ever and who will punish her for her arrogance one day) she’s as entertaining as hungry puppies playing with baby ducks, read her here:

since i’m endlessly on the road lately, and the x box broke (wow THE SUN!)
I’m filling my head with book tapes

First was American Gods, and I was surprised that Niel Gaiman was the writer of Sandman.
Sandman comics were for stuck up comic book readers.  People who refered to them as graphic novels, the way pelple who paid someone to listen to them whine as therapy or people who refered to manga as anything but porn.
Watch porn and read comics and own up to who you are.
But I liked Niel and all his rambling.  It was a good book to listen to on the road too.

My roomie talked me into the book years ago and I haven’t had time to read it, still don’t.
I do have time to listen whilst I dart from terminal to cab or clean and do laundry in between gallant jaunts around the country, but even then I find myself rewinding cause I was concentrating on ordering a key lime bar at starbucks in terminal two (not because I’m such a fan of starbucks, but, you see, they are every other kiosk in an airport, punctuated with shoe shine chairs and magazine racks)
also the guy reading it  did a different voice for every character, like 35 or so, and it was brilliant.

I was entertained, and I hope they make a showtime or hbo series out of it.  I don’t know who’d they’d get to play shadow, but the fat kid "technology" should be played by Jonah Hill.

then I read (Read: listened to) His Dark Materials Vol 1 Northern Lights (the golden compass)

It was ok, so now I can see the movie?  I think.

my head is swolen for no reason behind my left ear and it is spreading to the back of my head…to the knot in the back of my head, like those bumps that are the opposite side of your spherical head as your cheek bones?  those ones.

it’s so big it’s starting to pulse and when i push on the back of my head I can feel the pressure on the side of my head above my left ear.

Although my head is growing in size and proportion, I don’t feel any smarter.  I’ll run through my "know your supperpower" check list before I go to bed.  It’s been months since I did it.

I hope that it’s a tumor.  not one that kills me, but one that I have to have surgery to remove, and the doctor slips, and cuts my brain, and I only loose the part of my memory that contains all the movies I’ve watched.  Then I’d sue, but also, I’d get the immeasurable joy of watching all those movies again.

and I still wouldn’t get ghost world….and screw you for liking it
