Progress On A Job

Well, I went up to my highschool today and talked to my best friend, my old counselor, Ms. Simmons. I love her and when I was still in school I aided in the offcie for her. She is very nice and she helped me out with everything! Ms. Simmons has helped me with my college applications and has been trying to find me a job. When I went in her office today she asked if I had a job yet and I said nope and she said YAY!! Huh?

She got a call today from Bondy’s Business Office (the car dealership) and they are looking for someone to work *part-time* and their job would be this :

– answering the phone

-managing the switchboard

– running to the bank (on their business truck…wouldn’t be using my own gas)

– filing paperwork

– writing receipts

– write out deposit slips

– signing for things that come in

– sit in the air conditioning while doing all this!!

Hell, who wouldn’t want this  job? When I aided in the school office, I did all this except go to the bank, but I did go to the postoffice. *lol* You’re probably wondering why they called her to get an employee, huh? Well, she’s in charge of the Co-Op class so they were wondering if she had a student for this job. I’m just nervous that my college class schedule will make it to where I can’t do it. I called up there and told her on Mondays-Wednesdays I have a class ending at 1:50 then my next class starts at 5….but she didn’t act concerned becuz she told me she was thinking around lunch to around 5ish…but she’s thinking she’ll be able to work around my schedule. *crosses fingers*

I have an  "interview"  tomorrow morning. She told me it didn’t matter what time I went up there, that she’d be up there at about 8 and would leave around 12:30. I kinda want to show her I can get up early if I need to so I’ll probably go up there around 9. I really hope everything works out for me!! If I get this job, I owe Ms. Simmons like so much!! Even if the job is part time, I’ll still be working about 5 hours a day (more on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and  Fridays) so that won’t be a bad paycheck. I think she mentioned like getting $650 – $7oo per hour so yeah, that won’t be too bad.
